Terms of use

These terms cover the Plains Ready website and the Plains Ready Ops app ("the app"). Plains Ready is based in Lubbock, Texas. By using the app you agree to these terms.

What we do

Plains Ready takes service requests from property owners, managers and businesses, and hands the work to independent crews. The app is how we post jobs, track check-in and check-out, collect before and after photos, and record approvals and payments.

Crews are independent contractors

• Crews are independent businesses, not Plains Ready employees. They choose which jobs to accept, supply their own tools and transportation, and control how the work gets done.
• Crews are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licenses and permits. We ask for a W-9 and a current certificate of insurance before a crew can take jobs, and a license for licensed trades.
• Nothing in the app creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship. The separate crew subcontractor agreement controls if it says something different.

Clients

• Prices shown for a job are the most you'll pay for that job unless you approve extra work (a change order) in the app.
• The separate client service agreement controls payment terms, scheduling and cancellations if it says something different.

Location

The crew app reads a phone's location only at the moment a crew taps check-in or check-out on a job, to confirm they're at the property. We don't track location in the background or between jobs. See the Privacy page.

Photos

Crews take before and after photos of the work. Those photos belong to the job record and are shared with the client for that property and our office. We may use job photos to resolve disputes and check quality. We won't use photos in marketing without the property owner's permission, and we ask crews not to photograph people.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about jobs (offers, bookings, completed work, payments, and an occasional review request). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts doesn't cancel your account.

Your account

You sign in with an emailed link. Keep access to your email secure; you're responsible for activity in your account.

Limits

The app is provided as is. To the extent Texas law allows, Plains Ready isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Liability for the work itself is governed by the service and subcontractor agreements.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Venue is Lubbock County, Texas.
